In September 2011 Seven Wives writers Chris Fenner and Jennifer Chislett began discussion to turn the stage musical into a feature length motion picture.

“From our work on the Seven Wives Promotional Film back in 2010 we felt that the production worked well as both a stage musical and as a film. We are now in the very early stages of pre-production work for a feature length film version and hope to start early discussions with potential cast, creative team and crew members. We are also looking at potential backers for the film and have teamed up with indiegogo to try and raise awareness and funds for the project.
